Everyone knows Ultraman but did you know that Malaysia has its own version of the superhero too?
Created by Les’ Copaque Productions and Ultraman franchise owner, Tsuburaya Productions, the Malaysian version of Ultraman, called Ultraman Ribut was created for the Upin & Ipin animated tv series and first appeared in 2014.
Ultraman Ribut will now appear in the official Japanese Ultraman lineup and will debut in the live-action Ultraman web series, Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes!
Tsuburaya Productions made the Ultraman Ribut announcement on Twitter with a trailer for the upcoming YouTube web series that will premiere on 29th September!
Both Japanese and English languages will be available for the web series and will feature a total of 13 episodes.
Looks like our Malaysian creations are storming (literally because ribut) the internet and we couldn't be happier!
