Whether you like to admit it or not, anyone would be happy to receive flowers from someone. And that’s what happened to this guy, except, well... the flowers weren’t for him…

A twitter user shared his awkward experience on his first day of work at a new place and it went viral!

The company had a gift box and a card placed on his desk that made him feel very welcome on his first day of work, so when he found a bouquet of flowers later that day he assumed that it was also from the company to welcome him.

He asked his managers if they knew who they were from but they didn’t. So he asked his manager to help take pictures of him with the flowers as a part of his “first day of work” photos…

…until a few months passed and the manager decided to tell him about the truth: the flowers weren’t actually for him!

Apparently the flowers were misplaced and were meant for someone else, but the co-workers decided not to tell him because they felt bad after seeing his “mini photo shoot” with the flowers.

Here’s him explaining the whole situation:

Have you ever mistook something that you thought was for you but wasn't? Let us know your awkward office situation!
