In a time full of virtual reunions to keep those who are staying home to fight the COVID-19 pandemic entertained, one reunion has just happened that will take you back to your childhood!

We’re talking about Lizzie McGuire of course, and the entire cast recently reunited to bring back one of our favourite episodes!

As most fans will know, a Lizzie McGuire series reboot was on the way but unfortunately, the project was stalled after creative differences between Disney and original creator Terri Minsky caused the creator to leave the reboot and her role as showrunner. There has yet to be any official updates on where the reboot series stands at the moment.

Reboot drama aside, the cast decided that as many people are staying home, this would be the perfect opportunity to have a virtual reunion!

Lizzie McGuire Writer Explains Why Bras Were Such A Big Deal On ...

Hilary Duff aka Lizzie McGuire took to social media and surprised fans with a Zoom table read of one of the series’ iconic episodes – “Between a Rock and a Bra Place”, that celebrated its 19th anniversary on 11th May!

The virtual reunion which was organised by Jake Thomas aka Lizzie’s younger brother Matt, saw the entire cast reuniting to bring back the beloved episode and series back to life.

Hilary reprised her iconic role as Lizzie, Adam Lamberg as Gordo, Lalaine as Miranda, Hallie Todd as Jo McGuire, Robert Carradine as Sam McGuire, Jake as Matt McGuire, Ashlie Brillault as Kate, Davida Williams as Clare, and Kyle Downs (who played Larry Tudgeman) reading the late David Carradine’s lines.

Writers Nina and Jeremy Bargiel also joined the table read and Jake’s father Bob Thomas served as the table read’s narrator.

“We could not stop laughing reading lines from tween us,” Hilary wrote in her caption. “This is the first time we were all ‘together-ish’ in almost 18 years!”

The reunion starts off with Hilary saying, “I got the most amazing phone call last week from Jake Thomas. He threw out having a virtual table read of one of our old episodes of ‘Lizzie McGuire’ and I thought there’s no better way to cure boredom and to provide a little bit of entertainment for everyone who’s stuck at home.”

The reunion of course also aimed to raise funds for the various organisations such as the Frontline Responders Fund, No Kid Hungry, Baby2Baby, Support and Feed, L.A. Food Bank and New York Food Bank; who have been doing all they can to help those in need during these hard times.

The cast even tried to sing the series’ iconic theme song but of course, it turned out to be a barrel of laughs instead!
