With the Movement Control Order being in effect for two weeks now, it’s sad to see that there are some people who just won’t stay home.

One man decided to help out the frontliners in ensuring that people stay at home and it all has to do with the supernatural… kinda.

Muhammad Urabil Alias from Chukai, Terengganu noticed that many people, especially teenagers, were out at night and not following the MCO. He then decided to do something about it.

He decided to scare these people into staying in their homes by dressing up as a ghost while standing on top of a van.

“Are there any vacancies tonight in RELA or the police department? Bored of sitting alone,” he wrote in a Facebook post with pictures of his mission.

When he uploaded the pictures of him dressed as a ghost on social media, he didn’t expect that people would actually panic and were scared to leave their homes, just because of them.

Speaking to Harian Metro, the 38-year-old explained that all he wanted to do was to prank the teenagers of Taman Anika Jaya, Kampung Tempurung who were not complying with the MCO.

“It looks like my approach worked because many people believed that the pictures were real and were worried about wondering around at night,” he said.

“Many netizens contacted me to ask if the pictures were real or if they had been modified,” he added. “It thought people were able to tell from the caption that this was done as a joke but it seems like many people believed it was real even though I was just dressed as Gandalf.”

He hoped however that people didn’t take his efforts to help negatively.

“It wasn’t my intention to gain attention through the pictures,” he said. “Me and my wife apologise if my actions were overboard.”

We definitely don’t think that he’s gone overboard! At least he’s playing his part in helping to keep people in their homes!

While we don’t advise everyone to go out dressed like ghosts, we sure loved the laugh that we got out of this!

Be sure to do your part by staying home and staying safe!
