Some people are scared of spiders. We are scared of spiders. And that’s totally fine.

But what’s worse than one spider? Hundreds of spiders.

Turn away NOW if you’re squeamish.

When you go out to buy groceries, sometimes you find the odd live worm nestled between your vegetables. And while that’s slightly gross, what’s worse is to find hundreds of spiders spilling out from your bananas!

Which is exactly what happened to this mum of two.

Holly Cray had bought a bunch bananas online from Asda – a supermarket, when she discovered a fresh sac of spiders on them. The sac burst open and released “hundreds, if not thousands” of spiders.

She immediately took her four-year-old son and five-month-old baby to a nearby hotel and then to her grandmother’s.

The mother from Pembrokeshire, UK feared that the spiders that had escaped from her delivery were lethal Brazilian wandering spiders.

“There was a fresh sac of the spiders,” Holly said. “What if the mother is in the house? They don’t look innocent. I can tell by their look.”

The Sun reports that “council pest controllers may fumigate the home.”

Asda has had talks with Holly and said that it’s “almost impossible” that the spiders were tropical.

The company also noted that each of the billions of bananas that it imports each year were checked for stowaways.

We’re still feeling chills down our spines at the thought of a hundreds of spiders bursting out!

Hopefully the family’s home is safe to move back in (we’d still move, just in case).

Are you afraid of spiders or know someone that does? Let us know!
