You're Going To See These 9 Types Of People At The Mall This Weekend

Hanging out at shopping malls is without a doubt one of the most popular ways we Malaysians spend our weekends!

What’s not to love? We get free air-cond, there’s plenty of food to try out, and of course—SHOPPING!

So naturally, after being surrounded with all sorts of people at malls, we can’t help but list down the types of personalities we’ve come by. Some of these may sound familiar to you—or maybe they’re actually you! 😂

#1 The Big Spender

The name says it all. They’ve got the money and credit cards—they’re not afraid to splurge! And they won’t mind treating you to something either 😉.

#2 The Wannabe Tai-Tai

They dress well, they think they’re glamorous—but they’re actually kind of broke! If this is a friend of yours, you’re always telling them to watch out for their expensive spending habits.

#3 The Tester

Now they’re the smart ones. They always try everything out before deciding on what to buy, whether it’s a simple blouse, headphones, or cosmetics. Shopping with them will take longer than usual, but they make you realise that you’ve got to be sure about what you want to buy.

#4 The Flash

Most people take more than an hour to do their shopping. The Speedy One zooms through shops and picks out whatever they need without thinking too much over their decisions. They’re done in less than half an hour. Are they related to the Flash? Maybe 🤔.

#5 The Indecisive Shopper

They move from one store to the other… and then return to where they started. They’re always looking closely at items, maybe even holding on to them as they browse around, but in the end they never buy anything!

#6 The Discounts Pro

They know all about promos, sales and rewards. When they enter a shopping mall, they’re on a mission. You’ve gotta keep them around because they’re walking encyclopedias on how to save more money while shopping.

#7 The Grump

The Grump doesn’t seem to enjoy shopping even though they have to do it. They’re always complaining about everything—the mall is too crowded, the parking is too far, the queue is too long. They’re not the most fun people to shop with to be honest.

#9 The Bored BF/GF

They’re the partners who don’t enjoy shopping as an activity at all. While they’re useful when it comes to carrying your stuff or helping you pick what to buy, they would usually be sitting outside the shop playing with their phones. Booooo.

Regardless of what kind of shopper you are—and which of these types you might come across—you can be sure to have the best experience at Avenue K Shopping Mall.

From a wide range of restaurants foodies would love, to shops with the latest fashion, entertainment, brands and a supermarket—it’s a haven for those who want to get their shopping done in one place.
