Hong Kong is one of the most famous holiday spots for Malaysians, so it’s common to scroll through your social media and find pictures of your friends’ in HK. But it’s always the same famous tourist spots, such as Disneyland Hong Kong and Victoria Peak.

And you’re left thinking, “Is that all there is?!”

To answer your question: of course not! If you happen to be making plans to go there, here are seven other quirky, cooler things you can do that’ll set your Hong Kong trip apart from the rest of your friends.

Being a Jedi Knight doesn’t mean you have to star in a Star Wars movie! Crossfire Arena actually gives lessons on combat using neon sabres which you and your friends can join.

#2 Go back in time by boarding the Aqua Luna

Make sightseeing on the Victoria Harbour different from your pals. The Aqua Luna is a Chinese Junk that’ll make you feel like you’re on a posh 19th century pirate ship. Dine, lounge and party away on the ship while enjoying the view!

#3 Sleep in a "bubble"

Instead of staying at a hotel, why not try glamping for a change? And what’s more, stay in one of these bubble-shaped tents at Mingle Farm. Imagine how super romantic it is to fall asleep while gazing at the starry night sky with your loved one.

#4 Say hi to the world's pinkest dolphins

Pink dolphins?! Whaaat? Yeah, they do exist. They’re pink because they have thin skin which makes the blood vessels underneath their skin (somewhat) visible. You can go for a dolphin watch by booking a boat tour

#5 Go shopping in a mall… that’s on a cruise ship

Who says you’ve gotta be stuck in a mall to shop? Take your shopping spree to a cruise ship instead! While it’s not exactly located on water, its short distance to the harbour will make you feel as if you are. It has more than 300 shops and restaurants, as well as a gym.

#6 Take #OOTDs with stone wall trees in the background

These stone walls were built between the 19th century and World War 2 to prevent landslides. As a result of opened joints between stones, strong species such as banyans started spouting, turning into stone wall trees. You can find them in different parts of Hong Kong, including Kennedy Town, Wan Chai District and Sham Shui Po District.

And wow, what a view to have in the middle of a bustling street!
