If you’re someone who finds yourself constantly muting your WhatsApp groups, we’ve got good news for you!

WhatsApp could soon be introducing a feature that allows you to permanently mute your groups!

Sometimes you get unwillingly added into groups and they turn out to be super annoying but unfortunately, for some reason or another, you can’t just leave the group.

For most of us, we ignore these messages coming from these unwanted groups by muting them. Unfortunately, WhatsApp currently only allows you to mute a group for a maximum of one year.

But that could soon be changing.

WABetaInfo recently noticed a new “Always Muted” feature that’s currently being tested by the Facebook-owned messenger.

Before you head over to WhatsApp to check if you have this new feature, it’s important to note that the “Always Muted” option is still in development but is expected to replace the “1 year” option.

As we mentioned, the new feature is not yet available but we’ll keep you updated once it is!

We’re already planning which groups to mute permanently! Lol!

Do you mute your groups? Would you use the “Always Muted” option once it’s available? Let us know!
