Imagine walking down the streets one day and you see almost 200 goats taking over the streets… well it actually happened in the streets of San Jose!
Nearly 200 goats escaped their goat quarantine and stormed the streets after they made their escape from the ranch lands in East San Jose.
In the now-viral video, the goats were seen storming the streets after a goat tried to eat a flower and broke the boards of an electric fence, leading to the whole herd of goats followed suit.
"When I got back from the store all the goats had broken through the fence and were wreaking havoc on our street," Twitter user Zach Roelands wrote. "This is the craziest thing to happen all quarantine."
The goats were seen running through some garbage and invading residential lawns, with some seen comping down on some plants and flowers.
The people in the neighbourhood looked in surprise as a man on foot, a car and even a dog were spotted trying to steer the goats in the right direction.
The surprising scene reportedly only took place for a few minutes before a neighbour led them back to the ranch, but certainly made many laugh at the rare sight of goats taking over the streets.
Zach said that his father used the goats a few times a year to clear the brush after his home caught on fire 15 years ago, but the goats somehow managed to leave the area this year.
A similar incident recently took place in Wales after a herd of goats took over the deserted streets. One user said, “irony is for thousands of years humans would visit animals in cages and now animals are observing humans locked in their houses.”
