Following the success of her last single, 'Can't Forget Me', Fazura is back again with an infectious new song, titled 'Be Honest'.

The track features New York based acoustic singer/songwriter, Jesse Ruben, who was also involved in the song-writing process, alongside Fazura, Will Snyder and Kyle Patrick.

It took the dream team only 4 hours to come up with the lyrics and melody for 'Be Honest' in Los Angeles, before Snyder and Patrick added their magic touch on the production of the song.

"It was such a pleasure working together with Jesse, Will and Kyle," said Fazura. "We vibed together so well, which made writing the lyrics and working on the flow of the song effortlessly easy."

'Be Honest' is about the struggle of moving on and walking away from a relationship, even though the other person is still holding on.

"Sometimes life works in funny ways," she explains. "We could love someone so passionately, but we can never really know what life has in store for us. Sometimes things just don't work out, but you’d still want the best for them."

The track marks the second English song from Fazura, after 'Can't Forget Me'.

According to Faz, the collaboration with Jesse Ruben was one of the easiest recordings she has ever done to date, as he was professional and made her feel at ease throughout the process.

"Jesse is a really great guy! We had so much fun recording the song, and I hope our fans like it as much as we enjoyed making it," she said. "The most important message from the song that we wanted to get across was the importance of just being honest with the person you care about, even though the truth could be painful."

The music video for 'Be Honest' was jointly produced by Layar Lucida and Junad M. Nor, who worked closely together with director, Nadirah Zakariya and a team of dedicated and creative minds.

Nadirah wanted to incorporate her love for black and white photography for the music video. "I placed lush greens around Fazura, to signify her contentment about moving forward for her own self growth," the New York-trained photographer explained. "Jesse on the other hand is surrounded by dried flowers, to signify his heartache."
